Our New Puppy Misty
Posted By: tessfully, 01-25-2013, 04:01 PM

Yes, it is true... Today we adopted a 4 month old Blue Merle Mini Australian Shepherd. The people who we adopted her from had a (human) baby and realized they did not have the time to take care of a high energy dog. It has been an interesting afternoon introducing Misty to Kenzie, Tripper and Dreamer. It may take awhile before the dust settles.

Here are two shots from this afternoon. Norman will probably have a few things to say and maybe a photo or two to add later

Nice pup. The breed had me tossed being an Aussie; I had never heard of it. A bit of google reveals the breeds origin in Nth America. Learn something every day.
She seems to fit in quite well with the rest of the crew.

That is a happy looking pup. Not too shabby in the cuteness and charm department, either. I think it must be the pink collar...

Awww, Misty is absolutely adorable, Tess! Congrats to you and Norm on the new family member! Love these photos, all of them. She looks like she's so happy to be playing in the snow and I'm sure she'll fit right in in no time!!

Thanks Bruce... I have read a couple versions of her origins... but, all that matters now is she is one of "us"

Thank you Lori... we are on Day 5 and things have really settled down, even inside the house. She is very smart, and she seems older than she is...I can't believe how lucky I am!

A couple more shots...

Glad to hear that she's settling down. She does look rather precocious. You have a hand full, but it will be a great run, dogs are like that. You need to reach her level, and then enjoy it. Been there...
