Thanks so much, buddy, for digging this up. Man, that sucker is fast indeed!!!!

I've got a soft spot in my heart for Mustangs. When I was 17 in 1964, right after high-school graduation I got a brand new Mustang made to order - it had a 289 4V and a 4-spd tranny, the first V-8 Mustang delivered in Jefferson County, Illinois. A couple of years later, I got the Mercury version of the Mustang (Cougar) and in '69 (as a poor grad student) newlyweds Connie and I cobbled together the cash (I despise debt) to trade for a Mach I.

Here are a couple of pics I grabbed of the Shelby - a black and orange bad boy - at the auto show on Wednesday.

The thing that got me about the car is how well it handled as a driver. 200 mile a hour, 60,000 dollar car... wow. JIM

Hey buddy, the black and orange one is still available. You'd look great in this baby.
