Indoor lighting and sporting events don't go to well with photographers. Looks like you already cranked up the iso (3200) and openned up the aperature (f4.5). with your 40mm you could get closer, lay on floor and shot when they were at the top of the leap. also if permitted use your flash

I didn't use the flash (I was quite far), but I did play with the curves to increase the exposure, originals are darker. I also had to correct white balance. I don't think I selected the best WB setting.

Regardless of the photographic results, the show was good fun as usual. The entry is very reasonable especially if you go half day and with children. I recommend it!
