I dig the jelly fish storm. Very cool. I have never seen that many jelly fish - ever! Quite beautiful looking.

Love the Jellyfish. Great colour! Where Igrew up we had clear jellyfish and dark purple blobs with long stinging tentacles - interesting in their own way but yours are beautiful!

I also really like the Quay photo - nice reflection.

Thank you! I guess I'm on the right track with some of these shots, then.
I only know what I like to shoot, so if sombody else likes it, well then
that's even better! I've got some more digital stuff stashed away, and
even some film I have yet to scan. This is very encouraging, thanks!

Hot off the presses: Caught the Blue Angels practicing in El Centro today! I couldn't get the shake out of the photo though, I guess that's what I get for trying to shoot handheld at 300mm without a tripod, huh?

When I got off work today, I found we had a new resident- a BAT! He (she?) was quite calm, and seemed pleased I was taking time out of my day to admire and take photos. I was very surprized that it let me get as close as I did; at first I tried shooting it with my 28-200 f/3.8 Tamron lens, then to attempt to get a super close shot, I tried the Sigma 100-300 f/4.5 zoomed all the way in. I found that the Sigma wouldn't focus on objects 4' away at 300mm, so in a last ditch effort I put on my Sigma 14 f/2.8. I had a feeling it wouldn't work because it's very wide, but the bat let me get to within 3" of it and snap off 10 pics with flash! Here's a few of the ones I like the most, enjoy!
