Power to the People

We generally try to exclude power lines from our photos, but I figured why not just make them the subject matter during a beautiful desert sunset.

There's something rather graceful about the curves of the powerlines against the grid of the poles. And the receding lines are matched by the deepening colors of the sky. You know, if you got up early you'd have twice as many opportunities for shots like this.

Fantastic use of the power lines, Bob! Love the repeating pattern leading off into the distance and the color of the sky is amazing!!

I too am always trying to avoid the power lines/utility poles. But they sure do work well in this image! Great lines & really emphasizes the sky patterns.

i did try sunrises once Jeff, but I found you don't get sunsets in the am, so I went back to bed. TFL, I appreciate your kind review, Bob
