Today at the cemetery
Lens: Samyang 8mm Camera: Pentax K-7 (modified) Photo Location: Southampton,UK
Posted By: karma mechanic, 01-31-2013, 01:06 PM

I was out for a walk today enjoying the sunshine and I found a number of different black iron railings that worked nicely in IR.

1.

2.

3.

4.

And then I ran out of railings, so I grabbed this one. I've tried this one before but the holly has grown a lot and at this time of year the light is very different:

5. A Prickly Embrace

All 8mm, all in Southampton Old Cemetery.

Thanks!

I've just noticed that in no. 3 my legs are clearly visible. Probably a little fiddly to clone them out completely, I might just obscure them a bit with some random grass if it starts to annoy me...

The last one really works for me; the light and the visible sky really contribute to that. Nice one! Not that the other ones are 'bad'; I do like the second one with the big tree towering over that grave.

Very interesting perspectives/viewpoints - rich in mood and texture. 1st and last especially interesting - so many details to ponder. Did not even notice your legs in #3!
