The dreidel story at over 1000 rpm.
Posted By: charliezap, 02-03-2013, 09:40 AM

Several years ago at GE in the Tool & Die shop during a slow spell of work we made brass dreidels to keep busy. They were machined so perfect that you can spin them on a granite surface for almost 3 minutesThis one is spinning at over 1000 rpm and with the Vivitar 285HV flash set at lowest power it gives shortest flash duration (1/30,000 sec.).We played the game last night but had to do it on a rough surface to speed the game up. 3 minutes for a spin to stop is much to much.20 seconds is better and with a red solo cup in hand the wait isn't that bad.---charliezap

I won't ask what weird pieces of equipment you used to fry up some potatoes to go with the drediel playing.

BBQ
Getting ready to oxy cut the " freedom fries" and brown the "bloomin' onions".
Of course, the appropriate safety gear is required at a Wombat BBQ

Well if anyone is keen to make some four sided brass dreidels, I'd be interested in showing them off.
