Canada Goose at 250mm
Posted By: metalfab, 02-25-2008, 12:55 AM

Using what may be the only lens I need (well, codiac2600's images using his new DA* 200 may change that, thanks... thanks a lot! ;-) ) ...ok back on track... I used my DA 18-250 at a local lake and caught this Canada Goose;

No editing, just cropped and resized.

It's a very nice shot, the colour and sharpness are good. Well captured. Nice action moment.

It might be a little better if you changed the crop some to try and elimitate as much of the clutter behind the top of the wings.

Thanks Peter I appreciate the comment and suggestions. I'm still pretty new to the birding scene and its getting more interesting each time I go out.

Very nice. Good capture of the wing flapping. How did you find the 18-250 on fast focusing out in the wild? i keep looking at them to buy later this year.

It's only my 3rd time out birding with this lens and so far its been very good. I hope the weather keeps up for this coming weekend.
