Out for a walk with the pack
Posted By: normhead, 02-10-2013, 01:14 PM

I had a nice long walk with the dogs.. There's always lots of pictures to be taken.

1. There are always leaves.

2. The Pack

3. There's always stuff to photograph at the dump.

4. Kenzie cuts a trail

5. Misty, the puppy

6. An ancient method of transportation.

Thanks Dice... if you could look at the number of pictures we've taken of those leaves or ones similar to them, all I can think of is that just by the law of averages one or two of them are bound to be good. We once thought of putting together an album of just beech leaves. Then we thought, "Who'd want to look at that? Would even we want to look at that?" But interspersed with a few other images they ad something.

25 to 50 miles on snow shoes? I can't image that. Must be a thing to help young people control thier hormones in a constructive way.
The canoe trips, 26 footers, were little jogs like Thunderbay to Selkirk, MB, Rocky Mountain House to Selkirk, Selkirk to Churchill. That frirst one included the Grand Portage - 8 miles with those same canoes on your shoulder(s), one man and three 14 year-olds. You fried up a lot of the testosterone.

Sounds like torture to me, did you ever crack and tell them what they wanted to know?

Shangri Las Leader of the pack (lyrics) - YouTube
My brother is a big fan of the Pack and I even gave him one of those cheese head hats to wear. But I'm not listening to "leader of the pack". I always thought it was cheesy and they played it so often that I heard it about a thousand times more than I wanted to. Now i have a choice. But thanks for posting it for the generations that follow us. I'm sure they'll never really get the whole "outlaw motorcycle" thing and Marlon Brando in "the WIld one" which used to be really cool, is now just really lame. I'd never tell anyone that when I was 16 I had Brando's poster of him leaning against his motorcycle in that movie, on my bedroom wall. It just wouldn't make sense. I guess they probably wouldn't believe he was that thin either.
