Crocodile
Posted By: HGMonaro, 02-25-2008, 05:33 AM

Thought I'd give this photo uploading a try.

A crocodile at Yellow Waters billabong in Kakadu (Northern Territoy, Australia)

EXIF info gone in resize by PS7 (mild unsharp mask applied)

Pentax K10D (1/320sec @ f7.1, ISO 100) with DA50-200 @ 150mm (225mm equiv), SR on.

Got a new monitor so would be interested in hearing how is 'looks' on your screen.

Nige.

The exposure and colour look great on my screen. Great image as well and very sharp. He doesn't look like he's happy being photographed.

Definitely sharp. I think it has storm on the daily basis for the whole summer! You managed to get some sunny weather there

Great picture taken at only 150mm! Yikes! This is where I'd be using a much longer lens. I know he looks docile, like luggage with teeth; but those critters can really move when they want to.

Great shot, mate. Sharp and clear.
I dont feel that anywhere close enough to photograph would be safe.
Close enough is Too close, in my opinion anyway.
Well done!
