Snow, more snow, and ice

I hope everyone is not sick of snow and ice shots! We have at least 6 more weeks of winter here

I put together this series of photos because I thought there was something special about the snow and ice in each one. Thank you for having a look!

I never tire of the snow scenes, tess (especially when I can view them from a warm place) and, since I'm a chemist, I exult in the beauty of crystallization patterns - even if the substance is simply H2O.

Thanks so much Jim Exposure and focus on close-up snow shots is so difficult. I had to get very wet and cold to end up with one that was good enough to share.

Marvelous series, Tess. I hate snow with a passion, however it is quite picturesque and at time very serene.

Guess I'll have to live vicariously through you, Tess. No snow here. You certainly posted some wonderful images here. The ice formations are beautiful and you caught some amazing light and shadows with that forest shot! All are exquisite winter captured that I really enjoyed! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much gjtoth... I love winter, the coldest days produce the most beautiful images.

Thank you so much Lori. I was hoping the forest scenes could show how serene it felt to be there. I am glad you liked them

that rabbit hole photo is wonderful Tess, put a frame on it and I bet that sells right away. When I saw the title of rusty wheel, made me think I was going to see a photo of Norm trying to keep up with you during a snowstorm. All wonderful photos, I enjoyed the view. Bob

Beautiful shots, Tess... I really like the details on the first one, I've never had much luck catching hoarfrost crystals.
