I put out some fresh bird seed and the whole gang came to visit. Is the last one a Redheaded Woodpecker? Also there must be a few hundred Robins around my yard for the past week. as you can see in the first photo. now just picture that in my front and back yard, they don't eat the seed either.

I think it's a red bellied woodpecker, btw this spring how about keeping those robins down there? (they pick at my tomatoe plants)

Nice woodpecker! . Oh, if you want to keep the grackles and crows away use straight safflower seed, they don't like it but all the other back yard birds do. We started doing that when 50-100 grackles would come down and wipe our feeders out in a matter of minutes hehe

Some nice stuff and good capture of the woodpecker. I tried the same and all we got was crows. Interesting birds but they don't make for great shots.

I believe the bird in question is a Red Bellied Woodpecker. The Red Headed Woodpecker has a complete blood-red hood with solid white belly and patches of black and white on its wings.
