Funny weedy things
Posted By: Julie_B, 02-26-2008, 02:11 AM

I took my trusty K10D to work with me thismorning to take some photos of these weeds that cought my eye, and thought they would take a great photo. What do you think? All the photos were taken around 7.30am and I used 18-55mm lens.

Especially like 1 and 2 Julie. I like the way you captured the play of light on the "weeds".

Now that is an interesting textured plant. Looks kind of fleshy stemmed too. Good backlight capture.

Great series. Worth getting up early for. IMO the best is #2 but 1 is very good as well.

Keep taking your camera to work, Julie, those are really nice shots. 1 and 2 work well; number 3 doesn't really have a focal point so isn't quite as good but the colours are nice, it is a magic time of the day (a bit chilly up near Mildura too, I'll warrant, what the heck happened to summer?).

Thanks for the feed back steve.Yes I agree it is getting quite chilly up here at the moment, especially the mornings, but the afternoons are quite nice though. I am not looking forward to winter at all, hopefully we will get rain instead of frosts this year.

Interesting plants. I think the side light one brings out the most in the pictures. thanks
