Color check

or

Does this look right or did I push the colors too far? I use a laptop and the backlight makes colors seem brighter than they are especially towards the bottom of the screen.

I think the second one works the best.

MEGADETH!!! thanks for the reply. It's weird i like the head of the first one, the rest of the second. I'm not too sure what the true to life colors were. I plan to use the one that gets the most votes, at least as a guide for further editing.

I was just about to say the same, the face is more natural in the first one in my monitor and eyes. Background and the tree trunk on the other hand looks more pleasing in the second, but not so much as to replace the first picture in my vote. Difference is not so big though.

So you feel the face is the deciding factor? Appreciate the feedback, I had taken these zoo pics almost year ago and just now got to process them. Never worked with DNG's before.

I think the second one works best overall.

LOL, it's going to be one of those head to head polls. Thanks for lending me your eyes. It is softer on the eyes, next to flamingos parrots do have some bright colors crippling my judgment.

Picture in whole..

Either pic of the bird works for me... I do prefer the smaller type of your .com.. the type of the first pic overpowers the picture a bit..

The main thing to me.... is the other bird in the background.. it is very distracting and if you could clone it out of something it would definately inhance the picture....

my 2 cents.. Kim

The second image has better color to me. The first looks more orange on my screen, the color seems a bit clipped. Nice catch on this photo. I thought I was the only one who had photos over a year old that have never been processed. ;-)

They both look fine to me. The reds in the 2nd might be a tiny bit darker. Certainly they are well saturated.

The second shot. You might consider a little contrast added and de-saturated the image just a touch. See if you can get a little detail out of the head feathers. If you can, Kim has a good suggestion with the cloning.
