Waiting for Spring

Around our neighborhood, early signs of Spring are everywhere - the grass is greening, and trees are blooming. Just down the road near the lake, it's a different story where it's a mostly brown landscape. This is a just a simple shot, but I like the late afternoon lighting.

maybe simple Paul, but the light is hitting the grass just right. Nice to see some water in those Texas lakes.

I like the shot too. Spring keeps trying then mother nature hits us again with another cold snap.

Thanks Bob - you're right...the light really is everything in this shot. Yes, we have 'some' water in the lake, but could sure use some Spring rains to fill them up!

Thanks Susan. I know what you mean - we've had rollercoaster weather here, too. 75F one day, 45F the next, back & forth....altho it's hard to complain about 45 being *that* awful. (But we do anyway)

Hey Paul - down here near the coast south of Houston we're a bit farther along as one would expect, I suppose. We've had a benign winter - even for us.

I like the photo for the reason Bob mentioned.
