thanks Trev, this has been in my collection for about 50 years, it has worn down quite a bit from handling. It is quite soft.

thanks Ray, gypsum is quite common and used in many building materials. Time for you to get the RV out and travel about, take some photos and post when you can.

I hunt for those everytime we go out west. Now I know you have them all. That is really a stunning specimen Bob. Lovely image too.

thanks Susan, you just have to know where to find them, talk to someone at a local rockshop and they are a big help as you travel.
