Corvette weekend at the Petersen museum. First time I ever had to wait in line.
1960 "Big Tank" (24 gallons). No radio, no heater, visor or courtesy lamps. Only 5 of original 10 exist.
1962 "Tanker" (24 gallon tank). This one was discovered in a garage after 15 years of storage, and de-optioned to its stock state.
1963 Grand Sport. The five produced were built as lightweight 485-HP competition to the Shelby Cobras of the early 60's. Once GM heard of their success, they shut down the racing due to company policy againts factory involvement.
1963 Stingray, the only year of the "split-window".
A conservative 1964 L-84 for the NY Worlds Fair was used to showcase dual mirrors, side exhaust, egg-crate grille - and 15 coats of paint.
1967 L-88. No radio, no heater...intended for SCCA racing.
1968 L-88. This one is unrestored, with the original fan belt, hoses and tires.
1975 Roadster. The gold paint had problems and was only on 116 cars. This one has all the options, and as of 1993 only had 6,300 miles...
1984 Z-51. This one won awards for its unrestored state, and the Performance Verification Award for which every mechanical component was tested without a single failure.
1996 Grand Sport had real-time damping of its electronically controlled shocks, and a manual 6-speed.
