1967 Ford Mustang
Lens: 45mm Color-Pantar F 2.8 Camera: Carl Zeiss Ikon Contessamat ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F11
Posted By: bucfan1234, 03-04-2013, 10:02 PM

Sailor's post earlier in the week inspired me to post a couple of shots of my Mustang. The car is a 1967, and I am entering into my 20th year of ownership. Can't tell in the pictures, but she is highland green (the same color as the bullitt car), and still a lot of fun to drive.

Its a 1967 car so I grabbed my 1965 Zeiss Contessamat (which I had not tested prior to this roll) for the assignment. These were shot on Fuji 200 film, then processed in Caffenol-C-H, which yields the black and white (toned) images, and scanned on an Epson V600.

...and the same three with the caffenol tone removed.

I like the tone, but it tends to vary quite a bit from frame to frame. Which do you guys prefer, original toned or tone removed? Any feedback is appreciated.

I love it. The classic car with the old/classic building. The Black and white makes it even more fun. Great shots. I am a Mopar girl but I like that year mustang.

Your photos gave me an idea for our classic car.

Great shots of a great car - I like very much the tone of the photos. Brings back memories - I started my automotive love affair with a '65 Mustang bought new in '64 when I was 17. In '67 I got a Cougar - essentially the same car as yours with different sheet metal.

I enjoyed seeing your car and would like to see more pics if you get the chance.

Thanks! I like Mopar too. When I was young, dad had a classic Challenger.

Thanks for the kind words. This was my second car. The first was a '72 Pontiac Ventura. Even though I have been through several cars since this one, I just can't come up with a good enough reason to sell. I will try to post more photos when I get the chance.

Buddy of mine in high school drove a '67 Cougar, great car too! His was light blue.

I really like the first image, 3/4 on, toned or treated, says it all really about this fine classic, well done.
