New Zealand Part 2 - Tolaga Bay
Lens: tamron 17-50 Camera: k-5
Posted By: camo, 03-07-2013, 11:26 PM

Here are some more shots from my recent visit back home. I seem to have a thing for slow shutter speed these days

Tolaga Bay is home to NZ's longest wharf at ~600m long and is also the longest in the Southern Hemisphere. Had just one night here at the camp ground. A nice place. These shots so just before dark, night time and sunrise

Sorry about the order...

You've done well with these ,brings back memories , I used to drive through here twice a week in the late 60s when we lived in the area. Cheers Garry.

Lovely images and all but it bothers me when hyperbolic claims are made about structures such as this - may have been true once, but the Lucinda Jetty near Hinchinbrook shades it a bit at 5.76 kilometres - so long it is engineered to follow the curvature of the earth.

More factoids here.

Just looked at these on your flickr site. They are really ten times better (and they were already stunning images) on the black background and at a larger size. Great job.

Very good series. The B&W conversion also works very well.
