I set up my portable lightbox and place some black cloth at the bottom on which I placed a picture cut from a magazine ( I was being generally lazy) on top of the cloth. On the top of the lightbox I place a CD Case cover to which I applied some drops of water using an eyedropper.. Once this was done I put the camera on a tripod and set it to "BULB" so I could use my remote. By aiming at the image of the picture seen through the drops I got this result.

Very elaborate technique, gives a great result.

Thanks for the detail "how to do it", cos I was way off base, I'm struggling to shoot through car wheels trims.
