Morbo's Picture Thread!! Update: 4/16 Old Rag Mountain Climb pics!
Posted By: Morbo, 03-01-2008, 09:54 PM

My flickr page for all of my pictures (including before I got my K100DSuper): Flickr: Photos from a Dan of action

But here's a few choice I've shot with the Pentax since I got it this past November.
Thus far I only have the 18-55 kit lens, and a 70-300 that came free with the camera. I'm planning on buying 2 new ones with tax refund!
Please enjoy, and hopefully i'll be posting here more!

If this is the work of a noob, I can't wait to see what you are doing next week. Great work.

thanks!

I've actually been into photography for a long long time. I got my first digital about 3 years ago - a Canon Powershot A95 Point&Shoot. It was a high end P&S, but it still didn't have everything I wanted - but it was all my budget could manage.

Here are some pictures that I have taken with that camera:

this one was selected to be published by picture.com (International Library of Photography) in their upcoming picture-book:

(i love legos)

They're all pretty good pics, but I think the lego men + scrabble one is SUPER original!

thank you

I entered it in the photo contest @ picture.com, and it made it to the semi-finals in the "humor" category - and it was selected to be published in their upcoming photobook release - which is awesome. I've never been published (anything for that matter) before. So I am getting a copy (duh!)

In retrospect, I'd like to redo it - make it straighter, more in frame, etc.
But for now, I'll take it!

Very nice images indeed. And welcome to the forum. By the way, where, or perhaps what, is a NoVA?

Ha. Nice.
I live in Manassas - just moved down from Syracuse, NY in August for a job. a buddy I work with lives in Gainesville. We spend much time there at the Tap Room / Five Guys.

I know I'm new to the area, but I've found there isn't much photography wise around this area :\

"R" arrrrrr "R" arrrrr was the chuckle from the forum

I love the Lego men. Great idea. The Lego man in the grass is good (makes you think of an endless series of adventure that you could send him into in the BIG WORLD we know). The Lego on the game board and all its setup / arrangement / thought / detail is first rate. Very refreshing and fun. Welcome aboard the HMS PentaxForum matey.

Thanks. The Lego hiker is a series (small so far). Here is a link to my Flickr set: LEGO Hiker Series - a photoset on Flickr
I only have 3 in the series so far. I tried a bunch in the snow the other month when I was back in NY, but the results were not what I envisioned, so I scrapped them.
Right now, I'm biding my time - I left him up in NY...so he's not here with me
But I'm in a new part of the country now, so I imagine he'll be exploring a lot this spring / summer.
I'll be sure to keep you all updated on his progress
