Old Fishing Boat, Hastings

Heres a pic I took yesterday on a trip down to Hastings. Any C + C welcomed.

Honestly it looks a bit odd to me. Looks as though the boat image was pasted onto the dock scene; like a badly done double exposure. I know you were selectively desaturating parts of the picture but this one doesn't work for me.

I like it but think it has to much foreground. If you lose the ropes I think (for me anyway) it makes a better composition.

It's interesting but perhaps there's just a little too much in the picture. I think the ropes may have made an interesting focal point if they had been in focus.

Crop along the bottom

I'd crop along the bottom and like Pat said "lose the ropes". I'd also crop along the top and cut out a lot of the sky, it's not doing much. Maybe crop it enough to turn it into a landscape mode shot instead of a portrait mode.

NaCl(the foreground is too busy is this shots biggest flaw IMHO but it's not a fatal flaw)H2O

Here's a quick job thinking outside the box a little. I don't know if anyone will like it, but it might help give you an idea or 2.

It's following the rule of thirds a little closer, and I wanted to leave a little background colour as well.
