Blue Wing Teals
Lens: DA* 300 Camera: K-5

Magnolia Plantation has an Audubon Swamp at the entrance that is full of wildlife. My major complaint with these places is you can't get there before 8:00 AM and you have to leave by 5:30 PM so the light is not always the best.

I agree although I think some of the girls are underrated. We are more subtlety colored and therefore more beautiful.

You have teals already ??? Gosh, "ours" will only show up in another 3 weeks or so.

Very nice shots, especially the last one.

Cheers.

Blue-wings are wimps. Always the last duck to arrive in spring for us.

That is one cocky-looking fellow in the last one - cool shot, for sure. Looks like you're putting that DA* 300 to good use.

Thanks guys for having a look and commenting. jbinpg - I have to disagree on their being wimps; very intelligent birds to out-wait the cold.

Tell them to stay there Susan, it's Duck hunting season here! That's where the hunters see the Ducks then commence shooting each other!
