Its a well done photo of that rose bud , but it seams you may have over sharpened
since there are hard line edges on the rose bud , or not just a thought :

Oh thats a lovely shot. Great tones. It might (or might not) be over sharpened, but at the same time feels so soft on the petals. Would you hint a bit on how to achieve such effect? Thx!

Being a new bud the petal edges are pretty firm and sharp and the lighting will also give an edge.................thanks for your comment.

One of the main factors in my shots is the lighting, I rarely use flash and aim for a more natural light. Another factor is to make sure there is no noise in the shot so I use Topaz DeNoiser 5.0 to eliminate any noise and the rest is fine tuning in Photoshop CS6.
