Spring Colors
Posted By: daacon, 03-24-2013, 07:58 PM

We needed a weekend getaway to well get away from all that snow ! So we headed off to the Banff area. It was not a photo shoot trip but I did manage to grab a few . The weather was good , the company was great and the scenery is something I never get tired of.

While there are no budding flowers here still I find a lot of colors and textures in this shot.

Wow! This image is so vibrant and gorgeous. Love the composition, the way the thin ice is reaching out into the green algae. Excellent clarity. Awesome... eye candy.

Great shots, a good weekend in the wilderness by the look of it, plenty of space to stretch, it can't be beaten.
Thanks Kerrowdown there is a lot of wide open spaces for sure and I agree always a good place to spend some time away from the rat race

Nice use of pseudo-hdr as it's far too easy to overcook it. Works really well here, the contrast of the green against the snow is beautiful...and how clear is that water? Lovely
Thanks antihero - sometimes backing off is best for sure - the water ? the word 'crystal' comes to mind

Thanks Tess you probably have a lot of similar scenes (except of course for those mountains in the background )
