Eastern Yellow Robin
Lens: Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 II Macro HSM Camera: K-7

Never seen this little bird before. I think it is an Eastern Yellow Robin. Saw him today in Lergerderg State Forest near Blackwood.Hand held with Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 II Macro HSM and 2x converter. Not very sharp photo as it was hard to get a steady bead on him flitting from tree to tree.

You were asking a lot of yourself shooting hand held with that set up! But you did remarkably well. What a sweet bird. The crest does look like a Robin, but he looks smaller than our red ones. Thanks for sharing

I could not keep up with the little fellow with the camera on the tripod. It was just too quick for me. Lucky to get any sort of image at all.

You did a good job on this one. Some of these little birds never stop moving and are very difficult to photograph in the wild.

What a lovely little guy. That yellow chest is gorgeous. Good job and I feel your pain trying to keep up with them.
