Phesants and Bob Whites (quails) are among the Most evasive and difficult fowl to photograph. There is one state park within driving range that has a fair population of both birds. So far I have only been able to capture a few half decent photos of the phesants but nothing of the Quails.


Sure would like to get one of these to pose for me like most of our supposedly wild turkeys do.

You probably nearly foze to death waiting to get those two shots. I really like number 2, and if pheasant are as elusive as you say (we don't have 'em in Australia), then the first photo is a good effort too. It's a fine looking bird. Can't say the same for the turkey, but maybe its mum was proud....
