Trying to focus on the wispy hairs rather than the "flower" itself.

The devil weed! My house got infested with them during my extra long escrow, and then I spent too much time inside for the remodel. I've been working really hard lately pulling these monsters. This is like looking into the face of the enemy .

Great job Jerry. Might be a bad weed but it is quite pretty.

That image is just so good, I've been sitting here blowing at my screen for the last five minutes, trying to get the right time.

Great job. I think everyone has had a go at these things. It is refreshing to see a different approach to bringing out the beauty in the most humble of subjects.

Thanks for the good words! This thing is tricky to photograph - it wouldn't sit still so I fired away in continuous mode and this one came out closest to what I wanted. I'd like to try some more but will probably have yo wait until next year.
