I don't like the pp work if you ask me. The painting look doesn't fit to my vision. I think you need to focus your work to a good composition.

I really like the creativity of these 2 shots. Simply stunning!

I enjoy looking at different style of pictures like these.

They are not particularly to my taste but I do think they are interesting and well worth doing. Not really photography but a computer art form that started with a picture.

It is creative. I don't think the 1st works very well since very abstracts and mostly shapes and colors. The second looks like the start of a paint by number. This would be okay in a limited setting but not my 1st choice.

As others have stated, this is also not really to my taste either, but I will offer what I hope are constructive comments.

The first image to me does not really reflect any style of painting.

I think the second has a somewhat realistic water color effect, which might be interesting, perhaps a little too exagerated at the edges, (lines should be sharp but blead into the field of color more) , but the range of colors needs to be expanded upon, more blues and whites less reds. It does have some possibilities along those lines as a technique.

edit note, try a little more saturation also.

They don't look bad, but they aren't "pure photography" at all. Digital art. You've altered them so much that I don't think it would have mattered if there was good composition, focus or exposure. And those are three of the important things in a good photograph. If it's an image that doesn't require the photograph to have had any of several important parts of a good photograph....what kind of photograph is that anyways?

Granted, I have been known to use creative post processing and print methods to deal with crappy photos of mine. Blown out? Out of focus? Great! Let's crop, make it B/W, bump up the contrast and rasterbate it! Whammo, wonderful poster!

The second image would look better if vector imaging process(cell shading) was applied to it but takes a reallly long time to do.

Heres an example of how they would look like by Bahman Farzad @ lotuspix.com:

cell shading process can be found here:

My photography teacher loves abstracts. This is the kind of stuff he is always doing. I personally don't like the look, but there are definitely people out there that do.

I actually really like the composition of the shot and the post processing/artwork of the shot. I would like to see the original shot as well to see the difference. Thanks for posting and peace to you as well.

Colourful and interesting Alex. Makes you have a good look. Prefer the tones, etc of the second.
