Sunset for Bob
Camera: K7
Posted By: basquist02, 04-03-2013, 02:49 PM

Went looking for a sunset the other night around Lethbridge Alberta. But could not find a spot without a power line, which made me think of Bob. So this one is for you, hope you like.

A linemans dream Bas, a beautiful sunset while traveling to patrol transmission lines on double time, it doesn't get any better. Appears the larger towers are 220,000 volt and the smaller lines are 66Kv or 115Kv lines. It seems I remember that they are refered to as Hydro Lines up your way. BTW, a lot of people don't care for the power lines in the photos, I think they add interest to a sunset, gives an added subject matter IMO. Thanks bud for posting, great shot.

Glad you enjoyed the shot Bob. BTW we call the big ones transmission towers/ lines also. They do add some interest and dimension at times.

I like it! If you can't get rid of them, make them the subject!

I agree with Bob. They are there so why not make use of them. Lovely colors.
