Santa Barbara County

A selection of shots from the Santa Barbara area last weekend. The Santa Ynez Valley is a really beautiful area which I highly recommend to all (even if there was no wine). Normally it would be even greener than this but it's been a dry year. The sailboats are just outside Santa Barbara Harbor.

Great shots, the third image looks distinctly more French, with the beret and the window shutter.

What's with all this no wine business, not going there with you then.

Thanks for the trip to Santa Barbara. Beautiful area. Love the PP (if any) on that third shot. I agree with kerrowdown, it is very country french with lovely muted colors. The rolling hills in the second shot are beautiful.

Wannabe French is probably more accurate. Lots of wineries have adopted that provence look to them.

Thanks Dave, not as green as usual though. Fairly dry this winter.

Thanks Bob. I just noticed that pne of these boats has the letters "UCSB" on the sail. That's UC Santa Barbara (my alma mater btw), and so we're probably seeing a college sailing class in the distance.

Thanks! Yes some parts look very English, especially if you drive another hour or two north.

Thanks Susan. #3 had a fair amount of PP (slight HDR) and a touch of Topaz, forgot what exactly now).

Thanks Sailor. I think that was just a trumpet but wasn't paying close attention.
