Macro Wet day photos

Picked up a Pentax-F 35-70 off ebay. Arrived today, and even though it's raining, I had to try it out.

Felt the same way when I got mine and took it out in the aftermath of a snowstorm a month ago. It is a fun little lens, and the macro mode is surprisingly good. If it has a down side, I find that you need to gently overexpose to get a livelier image. Very nice second and third images, although I might have opened up a bit to wash out the background, especially the weeds in the second picture. (I appreciate you were testing the lens but always good to run through the range of apertures)

Yes, I like it. Works great in inclement weather, can't wait to try it out in the sunshine. Guess it was worth the 45 dollars.

I paid about the same including shipping. It is an underrated and undervalued lens so bargains can be had. RioRico used to tout the value of the lens quite often, especially as a good walkaround lens, and that was one reason I kept my eye open for one.

good pickup with the lens, I picked up one of these a while back but haven't used it much since, my pics were not as good as these, I should give it another run!, cheers

Same thing for me ... Rio Rico's posts got me looking for one of these and I found a nice one last year ... quite happy with it overall.

Has anyone heard anything about Rio Rico? He has not posted in a long time ... J
