Lets see your early spring photos!
Posted By: dws1117, 03-04-2008, 11:29 AM

Spring is springing here is south east Texas, USA! Today is sunny, very windy and a pleasant 59 degrees. Here are some pictures of the cottonwood tree in my back yard.

An one of a flower in my neighbors yard.

Now I'd like to see your early spring shots.

WOW AlexM, love the colors!

Sweet bay you can keep feedin me the bees.

Here's a couple from this morning. They're not that good, but they can't all be winners. All were taken with the kit lens and my new AF360FGZ flash

It's not really spring until the pollen comes out

and gets all over and into everything.

Love the perspective #4.

I can relate with the pollen. Where I live is thick pine forest and the pollen can get so thick some years that the lakes and smaller bodies of water are yellow.

Beach, Langervelderslag, Netherlands

Here a few pics made on and around the beach yesterday.
I know, I'm far from a professional photographer, still, comments are welcome.

Bert, I really like the first shot. Looks just like the stands of sea oats we have on the beaches here in the US.

I would LOVE to see that field of daffodils in person. Wow.

Great shots! My favourites are the first and last beach pictures. The first with the weed the light falls just perfectly on the sand slope! In the last beach photo I really like the small sand ripples and the many small shadows on the sand bank.

Texas Blue Bonnets and wildflowers

Last post of Texas spring for a while. I'll be headed out to New Mexico for work and will be hunting for New Mexico spring in my off times.

Today we went to the site of the Old Baylor College. In the past this location was so thick with blue bonnets there was no place to step without stepping on a flower. In more recent years the quantity seems to have diminished. Anyway, weather was on and off drizzle and very windy. here are the few decent shots I was able to get.

What's spring?

Taken early Saturday morning out my back door. Please don't ask about the mess in my backyard. Notice the Nissan doesn't have any side mirrors anymore? You can't see the damage to the van in this photo but guess where all those limbs fell back in the winter:-(. I documented all that mess when it happened but have never posted about it yet, to depressing.
March 29, 2008, eight second exposure

Oh yeah, I've put myself up for adoption if anyone wants a 58 year old baby lol.
