Lets see your early spring photos!
Posted By: dws1117, 03-04-2008, 11:29 AM

Spring is springing here is south east Texas, USA! Today is sunny, very windy and a pleasant 59 degrees. Here are some pictures of the cottonwood tree in my back yard.

An one of a flower in my neighbors yard.

Now I'd like to see your early spring shots.

Vil- good job. The seagull is neat. What is the rodent? Looks almost like a nutria rat but I don't think you have them in Canada, do you?.

Thanks. The furry beast is a woodchuck/groundhog. They are common in this part of North America.

Dang sweet Bay. You have an endless source of photographic material. Looks like you could shoot everyday for a month and not have to shoot the same thing.

Keep up the good work.

Hopefully I'll have some shots of spring in East Texas after the weekend.

The iris is an old one, or a throwback. Sorry but I cannot give you a name. Iris are notoriously difficult to match with a name, as so many different ones have been introduced every year for the past 75 years.

Thanks. These irises were planted perhaps 25 or more years ago and continue to bloom and thrive with no human interaction or care.
