Lets see your early spring photos!
Posted By: dws1117, 03-04-2008, 11:29 AM

Spring is springing here is south east Texas, USA! Today is sunny, very windy and a pleasant 59 degrees. Here are some pictures of the cottonwood tree in my back yard.

An one of a flower in my neighbors yard.

Now I'd like to see your early spring shots.

Sweet bay - I really like #3 of the poppy series. The detail on the inside is incredible. Do you do any post processing or are the images right from the camera?

Rosemary - Very nice job. The colors really pop.

BTW I want some of those poppies. Wonder if they would do well here in SE Texas.

Thank you Wayne. I did some cropping.
You can grow these poppies by just throwing out seed in fall or late winter in a garden bed -- they are very easy annuals.

Rosemary that's a lovely shot of your garden. So much color!

I got the Hymenocallis from a nursery called Plant Delights in NC. They are chiefly a mail order nursery. Expensive, but they sell a lot of unusual things and they send healthy good-sized plants.

Been a while since I posted some pics. Here's some this morning's trip to the Mercer Botanical Gardens.

And one from my backyard.
