Love that background GeoJerry. The whole scene has a dreamy quality that I find very appealing.

Interesting shot, I like the treatment too, I've no idea what it is, but works really well here.

Thanks kerrowdown. Here's how I did it, using OnOne's Perfect Photo Suite. I used Perfect Layers to add a deep blue color and then using a graduated filter set opacity from about 75% at the top to zero above the bird. I then added a texture layer "Rice Paper" in Perfect Effects. That's it!
