Weekend Macros
Lens: Pentax D-FA Macro 100 mm f/2.8 WR Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Around the yard

Some macros taken while puttering about on the weekend. I'm really starting to like this lens a lot - I've almost worked the Sigma 105 mm envy out of my system.

Well done, as you venture into the world of macro you'll be amazed in sighting things you never noticed before.

Nicely done. The first is my favorite. You are obviously going to do well with that lens.

Thanks folks! I'm blaming eaglem for my recent foray into macros. I find I get best results at f/22 or higher in bright sunlight. Before I had been sticking with f/18 and not getting DOF.

The first two images have an almost firework display feel about them, even down to the colour mix in there.

Great captures.

Thanks kerrodown.... I hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it, I can see what you mean.
