Lonely Sunflower
Lens: Pentax DA L 18-55mm ll Camera: Pentax K-X Photo Location: Backyard ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

Only one in the yard so far. Grew from sunflower seeds I feed the birds. I spent an hour outside in the sun today and this is part of the results. I have more photos and will post them later.

Not only did you get an unopened Sun Flower but you captured a small Spider as well.

Both the spider and the flower look huge! I love growing sunflowers... they attract so many beautiful creatures. Thank you for sharing

It is so rare that you see sunflowers photographed this way. I hope you take a series of pictures of this one over the next few weeks

Great shot, nice to see something growing again and a bonus spider too.

Here is still white and cold, spring must be going to be delivered soon.

FYI, I didn't see the crab spider until I uploaded it to edit. I wasn't using my macro setup either, as I'd have gotten the spider and not the flower. And I wanted the flower, the spider was an added bonus.
