I went to the park to see the animals
Lens: ASMC A-400 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Algonquin Park, Ontario,Canada ISO: 800

And what did I see, I saw the birds...
When the otters, minks beaver, muskrats, pine martins, bears and wolves don't turn up, you can always count on the birds for amusement.

The Canada Geese are back in Canada, where they belong...

The Chickadees, Nuthatches and Gray Jays never left.

Well done Norm looks like your geese have about the same amount of open water to maneuver as they do here. Nice catch on #3 open mouth and all.

Thanks dave, I don't think I've ever seen a nuthatch tongue before, something new every time out.

He does look a little raggedy, I'm not sure what that was about.

Aye, but birds are good, especially when you can produce images as good as these, well done.

Lovely collection of images Norm. The nuthatch is great. I tend to forget that birds have tongues (don't know why I forget they make enough noise in the morning.) Whenever I see banding on a bird I want him to tell me where he has been.
