Pentax Q PK adapter and Sigma 500 4.5 ex setting 2
Lens: sigma 500mm 4.5 ex Camera: Pentax Q Photo Location: Warsaw, Va ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s

i was very lucky to have my q and the sigma 500mm with me this past weekend...was at the river and saw this osprey chowing down on a big catfish...i would have never been able to get close enough with another camera... i did find the branches in front of the bird and fish distracting... can't have it all..i took a few pictures...moved in a little, took a few move, moved in and then he flew away...manual focus so i am quite pleased..just wish those branches hadnt been there...poor fish, not the way i want to go

Awesome shots Amy! The last two especially.
How close did it let you approach?

Good to see you working the Q with the 500

Cool shots! Interesting to see the combination of a 500mm lens with the Q.

Great shots, well done. I don't think the branches in the foreground are as distracting as you think. It gives it an interesting sense of place and you know it's a "real" nature shot, if that makes sense. Outstanding work with the 500mm and manual focus!
