The Moody Blues
Posted By: xs400, 03-05-2008, 12:21 PM

On Tuesday night I got to see the Moody Blues in concert in San Francisco. The concert was awesome. I took my trusty K100D and DA 50-200mm along with me. I was in the second to last row in the theater, but the seats were good enough to get some interesting shots. Here are some of my shots from the concert. Shots were taken at iso 1600 or 3200.

Nice shots Frank - I would like to see them in concert. Very good for that far away and the high ISO. Well done.

One of my favourite bands Frank....luv 'em!!
Have never seen them live, I'm very very envious. But thanks for the shots, which are very good given what you were using. Must have something to do with the whats behind the camera perhaps.
Cheers
Grant

I don't know if I should feel old or not. John looks a bit old there and it makes me feel old. I grew up on the Moody Blues due to an older sister who was a fan. I'm a bit on the young side to be in their core listenership, but I do still enjoy them.

Nice shots and I hope you enjoyed the show.

Thanks for the comments on my photos, everyone. All I can say is, if you ever get the chance to see The Moody Blues in concert, see them. Those old rockers still put on a great shot. The audience was mostly people in the 50’s, but we all had a great time listening to fantastic music.

Did you finally manage to find out what it was the Knights in White sat in?

nice pics.
I saw the Moody Blues a number of years ago (like, 12) with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. It was amazing.

So they are back on another concert series. They are good and can't remember when I did see them about 100 yrs ago. Very good pictures and low noise; I'm always impressed after reading the noise problems in technical reviews. Old film camera would have had a lot more noise in those light conditions.

Great shots. I am impressed with the exposure so far back and at thge high ISO. I am a fan of them as well. How was the show? Did you have any trouble bringing in the camera?

Thanks for the nice comment. The show was awesome, I'd go again in an instant.

Regarding cameras, no problems taking any pictures, but they didn't like any kind of video recording, even cell phones for video recording was not allowed.
