Visions of a Lighthouse
Camera: k10

Spent a few days up the Michigan coast at Frankfort and fell in love with the lighthouse. So many different moods in just a few short days. Enjoy

That's a lot of snow at the base of the lighthouse. Really like the second one. TFS.

Can I be the one to ask the daft question here?

In the first two images, is that snow banked up around the base of the lighthouse?

If you could just straighten up the third image and a touch more sharpening, if it will take it, that's the winner for me.

Actually it is ice built up around the breakwater. It can be pretty impressive in the dead of winter. Now it is just a hinderance when you want to walk all the way out to the lighthouse. I can't figure how to add another image or I would show one of the whole break with ice built up. The last photo is a crop in. I don't think it will sharpen up to much more. I liked it as it made the lighthouse seem on fire.

Wonderful - the last two, especially, are remarkable.

Here is the one of the ice built up on the breakwater. Pretty bright out that day so overexposed the image but it does give a sense of how much ice can built up
