EM, I'll admit I know little about plant life, but I don't think I've ever seen leaves this color in Texas, Michigan, Ohio, Massachusetts, Tennessee, or Illinois - all places we've lived in the past (in reverse order). The colors are remarkable - is this a plant peculiar to Australia or have I just not been paying attention? Terrific photo, as always.

They do grow in America, here's some info on them:

Oh, and they do come in a huge variety of colours.
