In Full Bloom
Lens: 50mm macro Camera: Kx Photo Location: Pahrump, NV

The Argentine Giant White Cactus was in full bloom and one of the most beautiful blossoms I have ever seen. A few getting closer photos to appreciate the glory of this plant which only blooms for a couple of days and opens at night, closes during the day.

thanks Cliff, this is one of those things you have to see to believe. Looks like we may get one more bloom on this plant the way it is forming up, we still have not got any blooms on any other cactus in this area.

Many of the night-blooming cacti are simply gorgeous. This one's high on the list!
