Every wonder if you took a wrong turn at Albuquerque ?
Lens: DA* 60-250 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta

It appears there are no "fowl" weather stations and the internal clock while accurate can sometimes get ya home a tad too early in the season.

Great photos. Looks like you might need to use some exposure compensation to make the snow a bit more white, though. Still, makes me feel very sad for them!

You have somehow managed to capture sadness in ducks, how the hell do you do that!

Thanks jrllinga - yeah WB may be off a bit was concentrating more on the ducks.

Thanks Susan - I'm afraid these are wild and will have to fend for themselves. Suppose to warm up this week, melt some more of the wetlands and then food should be a plenty.

These are some of the early arrivals - others must be still be down south. I wonder if they do rock paper scissors to see who comes back first ?

I guess these ducks just didn't have their ducks in a row before leaving New Mexico.

The ducks will be fine. Plenty of them around here don't bother to migrate and hang out on the ice all winter...
