Toronto is the new Edmonton
Lens: 18-55 WR Camera: K5 ISO: 100

So last weekend the snow was all but a distant memory except for a few piles in parking lots that were being washed away by the rain and warmer weather.

Time then, to bring out the spring toys... time that is, for the snow to go for a bike ride and slide down the slide.

haha nice one Marc - seems this recent weather has almost been from coast to coast and some of the northern US states. Southern BC is pretty good I hear - I was all over the various 'travel' sites looking for a seat sale to Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna with no luck (was willing to get away for a weekend). It's gotta break sooner or later next weekend that's what I am hanging onto.

That's some pretty posh kit, we were obliviously hard done by here as kids, with no such stuff.

Well the slide came from the neighbours when their kids outgrew it, and the tricycle has been through many pairs of hands already. But I agree it is a different world nowadays. When I was a kid you went to the local park from a fairly young age and came home when it was dark. Over the years they'd tear down the less safe playground equipment and put in things that were a little less dangerous (and thus often less fun).

One thing with a slide and trike Marc, leave it there and a child will show up eventually. I know you have 4 seasons there, but they sure aren't equal in time are they.

Well the running joke was that Toronto only had two seasons, winter and construction and that construction was getting longer every year. Not this year. Doesn't seem like we'll have much of a spring this year, and it is often hard to spot if the temperature cycles wildly up and down as it has in years past. That said, some flowers and plants are starting to blossom, and the change of colors in the fall can be spectacular.
