Having a Go at My New Car
Lens: DA 15, 35 and 70 Limiteds Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Brazosport College, Clute, TX
Posted By: Sailor, 04-14-2013, 07:30 PM

Over the last decade, I've adopted something of a ritual: I take a new car (after a few weeks of ownership) somewhere other than my driveway to make what I think of as the car's "official" photos. I always try to think of new ways to "see" the car, but with decidedly mixed results. Here are some shots I took late this afternoon at Brazosport College - about a 10 minute drive from my house.

BTW, for those that want to see some truly marvelous car pics, check out digitalCG's contributions to the Gearheads Unite! thread in General Talk.

Great symetrical lines and composition and the silver colours are well juxtaposed.

Thanks much. I'm delighted with the car, which is my second Boxster -- I'm addicted to the feel of a mid-engine layout.

I really appreciate that, brother Bob. And - those brakes will bring it to a stop RIGHT NOW!

Gee, I'm glad to hear you say that, because that "look" was what I was reaching for.

Thanks, Capn. Think of all the fun you'll have with the feeder and the Bigma, and . . . . . also think about how much gas you'll save .

Thanks, Den. I dodged the fine, but I am being something of a scofflaw, since I haven't been able to bring myself to putting on the "required" front license plate.
