Replica cars
Lens: Various Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Pomona CA ISO: 100

This was the replicar club get-together in the parking lot of the NHRA museum in Pomona. It was advertised as the annual "Fun Under the Sun" event. It was only missing the sun...

Heavy on the Cobras.

Tushek F-1.

1932 Alfa Romeo.

I don't know who made this.

Dan Gurney for President.

Getting ready.

She said he was an inch and a half to the left.

1934 Ford 3-Window. I like these.

One of several Ferrari 250 GTs. This was on a 1971 Datsun chassis...

He said he had gotten over the fly-speck cleaning syndrome.

1919 La Bestioni (it has its own thread).

1926 Alfa Romeo.

Lotus Eleven.

Blackjack Zero.

McLaren M8 CanAm.

1957 LeMans coupe body.

1929 Ford.

This bronze Cobra was a Kirkham kit.

Lola T70.

Chrome Cobra.

Cobra teeth.

Better late than never.

This may have been the real deal. Maybe not.

But it looks like they need to take it away again and finish it, there's a wheel short on the back end at least.

Some very beautiful (apart from the above) machines on display there and you captured them well, shame about the sun. It would have given you glare and flare problems anyway, especially on that chrome machine.

A fun series, for sure. There are a bunch of Cobra replicas out there - some of them reportedly are pretty decent. I'm thinking the last one is the real thing.

Great shots, Kyle - thanks for the enjoyable tour.

They look pretty nimble. I have no idea how they handle.

Thanks. It was under-represented, though.

I think it was a Honda Gold Wing in the back on that 3-wheeler.
