Thanks for the comment ... yes, it is one beautiful bird.
I assume this one was "passing by" during its migration. They are not common at all during the summer.

I realized just then how big that bird was !! When I spotted it perched on a relatively small electrical wire along the country road, I was wondering how something that big would be able to perform such a balancing act.
