It's very nice Thommo. I have one problem with it and that is your focus point was the glass to the left of the picture and maybe it should have been the center candle. all of the center of the shot is OF.

Good shooting.

Nice one Thommo.

It might benefit from a tighter crop. Overall, it has the mood and atmosphere.

Must be my old eyes, but it looks to me that the center candle is in the same plane as the glass on the left and both the glass and the center candle are in focus???????

Kind of hard to tell but this looks like a triangular holder for votive candles and the back one (center of photo) is in focus while the foreground is blurred.

I like the mood, the reflection and always, the warm glow of the candles.

I agree, a little tighter crop could help the photo.

Thanks for your comments everyone. The centre candle is indeed the one in focus. I don't know about a tighter crop - then you would lose the top of the bottle (right) and the base of the other glass (left). What I enjoy is the ease with which the K10D permits such photographs to be made. I'm a tripod-phobic.

I like the shot how it is Thommo. A very peaceful and relaxed capture.
Cheers.
